A great tool to utilize to learn how to gain control over your monies and seek out opportunities to invest, is actually in the form of a board game. Believe it or not, this game is actually very effective in helping you learn skills about money handling and buying property and/or business.
CashFlow is an educational tool in board game format designed by Robert Kiyosaki (author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad), which aims to teach the players concepts of investing by having their money work for them in a risk free setting (play money) while simultaneously increasing their financial literacy and stressing the imperative nature of accountability.

I personally have played and own all of the versions of this game and personally recommend them to all those seeking to build their financial literacy and before more money savy. A boost of Motivation
For any of you who may need a little boost of inspiration or motivation, to get started on a particular project or specific task; or even just to get in the frame of mind to get started in taking an action, I want to offer you this short poem:
You are the man who used to boast
That you’d achieve the uttermost,
Some day.
You merely wished a show,
To demonstrate how much you know
And prove the distance you can go….
Another year we’ve just passed through.
What new ideas came to you?
How many big things did you do?
Time…left twelve fresh months in your care
How many of them did you share
With opportunity and dare
Again where you so often missed?
We do not find you on the list of Makers Good.
Explain the fact!
Ah no, ‘twas not the chance you lacked!
As usual-you failed to act!
